We thought it would be fun to share with you some more information about Ms. Floener.
Marilee first joined GMS in November of 1995 after leaving her position as a Finance Officer at a Community Action Agency, where she was employed over 16 years. Marilee began as a Service Specialist and was later promoted to RLSS Director and still serves as a part-time Software Technical Support Specialist. “I began using the GMS Accounting software in the early 1980’s and was one of the first clients to begin using it. Ralph (GMS Founder) did our installation & madly programmed it to meet our needs while he was doing the install,” stated Marilee.

What do you enjoy about helping GMS clients? I enjoy teaching – helping others to understand what something does and why it does it. Having a greater understanding of how something works can make someone much more comfortable with the product.
Outside of work, how are you involved in your community? I try to stay involved in many things within my community. 1. I am currently Program Chairperson for our local chapter of the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation (RMEF). (At various times I have held all officer positions during my 23 years of volunteering.) 2. Accounting & Audit Committee for the local Benevolent Order of the Elks Lodge (not to be confused with RMEF). 3. Registration Chair for the John Ochs/Steve Cox Memorial Fund’s annual Opie/Coxie Fundraising Golf Tourney which raises funds to help youth participate in activities they may not otherwise be able to afford. 4. Secretary for the Board of Directors of my HOA. 5. Secretary for the Advisory Board to the County Commissioners. and 6. Secretary/Treasurer for the Lake Association.
What are your hobbies? Hobbies are kayaking/canoeing, golfing, lawn & garden, reading, traveling, and most anything else that allows me to be outdoors.
Name a fun and interesting fact about yourself: My favorite thing to do in the summer is to kayak in search of the elusive moose. They are such majestic creatures!
What is your best memory here at GMS? It’s hard to determine what my best memory is but I think the GMS Summits are at the top of the list. It’s great to put faces with names and voices and to get to know and spend time with our clients and learn about them. They are the best!
